Anastasia Chikezie is the founder of PURELY NATURAL one of the first and finest natural hair salons to open in the UK with a host of celebrity clients. The first branch was opened 28 years ago, June 1990 to be exact!

Because of her extensive knowledge and experience in textured hair she was asked to work on the expert working panel for HABIA helping to write the new NVQ qualification in Afro hairdressing, for natural hair.

2013 The BBC Interviewed Anastasia about the resurgence of natural hair and this was aired throughout the world, and was quickly followed by many more interviews.

• Sensational hair award for best braid 2006-2008-2012
• Sleek hair awards braid stylist of the year 2009
• Finalist for sensational Hair awards 2014 and 2017 for natural hair styling.

2016 Anastasia was a recipient of The prestigious BE Mogul Award which recognises the most influential and inspirational black business owners in Britain.

2018 Anastasia received an award at the Curlytreatsfest Excellence Awards, for best hairdresser.

2018 received an award at the Prestigious World Afro Day Awards, for Afro Pioneer, a nod to her extensive contribution to the hair industry.

Anastasia worked as an educator and brand ambassador for some top brands where duties included stage presentations putting together hair shows, hosting seminars and training session. This has taken her all over the world (America, Dubai, Nigeria, Gambia, and all over Europe).

The highlight of her career was when she worked at the trade fairs in Nigeria using her trichological training to diagnose and treat hair and scalp disorders.

2016 Anastasia was asked to be the creative hair stylist at Africa fashion week.
